Hi everyone,
This is a short report on the Germain Motorsports team results from the Seattle National event. The new Minor bros motor didn't actually get fired till Friday Morning. We hit the race track for only the second pass on the new car and the first pass on the new motor Saturday. The motor was intentionally set soft with the idea of working our way to a competitive tune up as the weekend progressed. Thanks to intermittent rain storms we only got one qualifying pass but that one got us in the show with a 6.90 at 212 mph. That pass was good enough for the 16th spot in the field which gave us the number one qualifier Sean Bellemeur for the first round. We tuned the car up incrementally and the car ran a 6.35 at 222 mph. I am hoping that at this rate of improvement we will be competitive in a few more runs. The first round ended our weekend's competition but it didn't dim my spirits one bit. We improved, the car is still running and we will be out there again. In the words of my hero "I'll be back" .
